| "It's all about the Location"
Actually - it's not. It's all about you. We are constantly asked - "Where is the best place for us to take pictures?" Realistically, the best place is where the subject feels most comfortable. Often this is your own home, or a local park. Think about where you feel most comfortable before you decide. It also matters what you are looking for - do you want an urban cutting edge look? Do you want a romantic feel? Many locations can provide a variety of these looks in one place, whereas some are really quite specifically one or the other. Our two cents is this - If you choose a location that we are not familiar with, we may not be able to have as many poses or variety for you to choose from. What may look great as a landscape may not be the best for a great engagement, senior or family picture. Remember, its about you guys, not the lake/rock/tree/bridge, etc. Your time block for your shoot is not the time to be roaming around a strange place searching for good backgrounds. This is not to say we won't try something new - we will - absolutely! Just give us a prior heads up and we can do a photo survey. This is where we actually go to the location sometime prior to the shoot and check it out. Then we are ready for your shoot. This is especially helpful when planning a family shoot at your home, such as a large family reunion group or child's birthday party. We have chosen the following locations as favorites because of the lighting and posing possibilities. Read the comments. Look at the map link, description and sample pictures.
