On-Location Pricing

Abundant Moments is happy to come to your home or the locale of your choice for special occasions or for a private photo session. This is especially convenient for new parents or large families.

We’ve gone On-Location to take extraordinary pictures of babies as new as just a few hours old, and for families as large as 56 people!

Pricing Details

At Abundant Moments we sell individual portraits or units - each color corrected, cropped and adjusted to suit your specific needs. This way you can customize your own grouping of pictures to fit your needs. As long as you spend a minimum of $150 on your portraits, you may purchase your pictures individually -

A 4x6 is $6.00
A 5x7 is $12.00
An 8x10 is $24.00
A sheet of 4 wallets is $12.00

Otherwise the portraits are sold in units - for 36$ per unit - A unit is either an 8x10 or 2 5x7s of the same pose, or 4 4x6s of the same pose, or 8 wallets. If you choose to purchase within units, there is a minimum $99 order for unit purchases.

When you pay your commissioning fee at your session, we also ask that you give us up to one week to prepare for viewing - this allows us to spend the time preparing the images for you and building your customized slideshow. We will set up your viewing appointment before you leave, and you will return within the week (as your schedule allows) to view privately your images and order. We require a 50% deposit down on your order at the time of viewing and you will be able to take your slideshow home with you to show family and friends.

We support online viewing for special events such as weddings, family reunions, and school events. This enables out of town family and friends can purchase the images on their own. Please inquire about this helpful service.

Commissioning Fees

From $180 - $355
*Includes a $50 portrait credit

Expect to spend at least $200 on your session.

Mileage fees are charged after 35 miles from the Home Studio (currently 90 cents per mile, one direction and subject to change). These fees are regardless of how many people you have. We are paid for our time, not the number of poses, so make a list and be ready - you have from 30 - 90 minutes depending on the package chosen.

Additional time can be scheduled at the time your initial appointment is made. The rate for additional time is $50 per half hour increment, or portion thereof. Sorry, we will be unable to accommodate request for additional time not originally scheduled, so that we may keep our commitments to other clients. Generally, on-location sessions are handled by two photographers to ensure total coverage. See package details below for the session that fits you the best.

We call your basic fee a Commissioning Fee because we are artists first and photographers second. A sitting fee covers only the time during which the pictures are taken, which is often limited at other studios. When you pay Abundant Moments, you are paying not only for the time spent taking your precious pictures, but also the time spent cropping and color correcting each individual image. More importantly it includes the time taken to design unique and beautiful collages, storybooks, and other distinctive items for you to treasure or give to loved ones. Basic retouching is also included in this fee.

Additional retouching costs vary, based on time spent. These costs generally run approximately $5-$7 per image for basic retouching - ie - acne, eye bags, slight imperfections. Deluxe retouching is handled on a case by case basis and includes things such as removal or replacement of individuals, head swaps, background changes, etc.

The service at Abundant Moments also includes a consultation to decide what sizes and styles of frames would best fit your needs and decor. Bring us a digital image of your walls or area, and we will help you decide what needs to be created for that space.

Holiday appointments (July 4^th, thanksgiving, mothers day) incur an additional $50 fee

This is a basic session for those customers wanting a quick on-location session at your home or other location like a park or city area. These sessions run 30-45 minutes only. Generally we end up with 15-40 images. This is a one photographer session. We recommend no more than one outfit, as changing cuts into your photography time. These sessions are ideal for kids and families wanting a few quick shots. Basic retouching and color adjustments including conversion to sepia, black and white and select color is additional and billed on a case by case basis. Collages created through this session incur a $50 creation

This session has no specific time or image limit and includes outdoor pictures as weather allows and window shots for the studio. On location sessions include various sets and areas. These sessions usually run between 45 -90 minutes, but can span up to two hours depending on the child/family. These sessions include a slideshow of all images set to music, generally 60-120 images, and a 5x5 leather storybook. This session is recommended for newborns and toddlers, seniors and anyone wanting several clothing changes and lots of variety. All retouching and color adjustments including conversion to sepia, black and white and select color is included. There are no additional fee for collage creation with this session.

Consultation

Most studios don't even include this service because of the time involved or fear of lost revenue. Because each session is your precious moment in time, we encourage you to avail yourself of this service. First Moments Plan

We feel here at Abundant Moments that the first few days of your baby's life are the most precious of all. Often parents wait several weeks before having baby's first Professional pictures taken. By then, your little one is no longer the wrinkled new version of themselves that everyone "oohhed and ahhed" over in the hospital. While still beautiful, there is a special newborn "feeling" that is lost.

We offer a special for newborns where, for the same On-Location Commissioning Fee, we come to the hospital for the first images, then you finish your session at the studio within two weeks of the baby's birth. This way we capture those precious first moments and you still receive the benefit of our extraordinary newborn studio shots. Many parents then choose to have us design and create their announcements from that hospital session and pick them up, envelopes and all, when they come in for their studio portion of the session.
