• Everything is included in your package fee – no hidden costs.  The packages even include prints to hang or give away. Each package is completely customizable – we have provided you with options so you can decide what components are best for you.  Your package can include prints, proofs, a finished album, brag books, parent’s albums, just about anything you can imagine! If you do decide to purchase extras like additional portraits, the prices are very reasonable (see “Add-ons” for more info)!

2. Caring Service. We believe that God puts two people together and the union of the three is a  beautiful and intimate event.  We strive to be unobtrusive and will discuss at length which photos should be taken when so your day will be as joyous and smooth as possible.

What is a Unit?

A unit is simply a way to measure the value of each size of print. You may combine them in any way that you wish. One unit is:

1 8”x10” or 2 5”x7”s
4 4”x6”s or 8 wallets

You may combine them any way you wish. The smallest quantity of wallets you can order is 4. For instance, if you choose 5 units of prints as one of your options from Options B – then you could get 1 8x10, 1 5x7 of something else, a 4x6 of your sister, a 4x6 of the groom, 4 wallets of mom, an 8x10 of the whole wedding party, and say 2 4x6s of dad. Make sense?

Private Moments

One thing that can greatly help the schedule for the day to go quickly is to schedule most of your formal portraits prior to the ceremony.  This will save you a great deal of time and also make for a much more relaxing photo shoot.  Some brides out of tradition don't want to see the groom beforehand and think that building the anxiety up to the start of the ceremony when you are walking down the aisle will create a magic moment that is filled with joy for both the bride and groom. 

One thing to think about is the Men's perspective. Most men aren't used to showing their emotions especially in public.  In front of hundreds of guests and relatives most men aren't going to show much emotion when the bride is walking down the aisle.  However, if you fit in some private time before the ceremony to first see the groom and have a photo session then, natural emotions can come out and it allows for some time to relax for a second and enjoy your day.  How much nicer would it be to have that magical moment, but have it privately just a little earlier?

Your guests will also appreciate this when they don’t have to wait for an extended period of time after the ceremony for the reception to start.  The day goes much smoother, there is less stress and you get to spend some alone time with the groom before hand which makes for wonderful photos.

Many brides and grooms think that if they allow enough time ahead of time for photos that they do not have to see each other to get great portraits and images from their special day.  We will absolutely get fabulous images that day, but if for the majority of the time that your photographers are there you are apart, those images are NOT going to be of the two of you together.  And, once you are together, things get a little busy and hectic, and we hate to pull you away from your special guests and fun filled packed evening.

More.  We consider this practical advice.  We capture 50 weddings per year and have done so for several years.  We have seen it done many different ways and can tell you without a shadow of a doubt, your best bet for the best images is to see each other during a private moment prior to the ceremony. Now understand this moment or first approach as you will, can be set up however you wish.  Dad can walk the bride down the isle to the groom waiting at the alter, or the bride can be waiting in a pleasing pose (this is how we typically arrange it).  It can be in the church, or somewhere else entirely.  You may have a few family members witnessing, or no one at all (thus the name private moment).

Let us offer this as well.  Not seeing the bride before the ceremony was an ancient tradition because young brides didn’t even know the men they were going to marry and their parents didn’t want them to run away once they saw who they were betrothed to.  So are you afraid seeing your spouse will change your mind? Because that’s where the roots of the tradition lie. 

Here are a few more tidbits.  – Some reasons you should consider taking all of your formal photos before the ceremony.

• Your flowers are fresh and have not wilted, - a problem especially in the hot months.
• The bride’s hair and make-up are still fresh and perfect. After the ceremony the make-up has been “cried on” and sweated off, and the hair has been “hugged into a mess” during the receiving line and the like.
• As mentioned earlier, your guests do not have to wait for you  to arrive at your reception.  This allows them to shower you with birdseed or rose petals outside of the church after your ceremony.  This also allows you, your family and the wedding party  to enjoy the reception longer.  Especially the beginning of the reception, which is the best part. 
• Having photos taken gives you something to do, rather than sitting around worrying and counting the minutes.  Plus, once you do have your private moments, the pressure is off.
• If you have children in your family or wedding party, they are much more cooperative when they are fresh and excited. After the ceremony, they are physically and emotionally drained and usually not happy to pose for pictures.  They delay the flow of getting your photographs taken quickly and efficiently.
• If it is important for you to make a grand entrance, that can be easily arranged.  We have often photographed the groom at the altar with the bride walking down the aisle as she would walk during the ceremony (with or without her dad as suggested above).  We are able to get photographs of the groom’s face when he first sees his bride.  We have also photographed the bride carefully placed at the altar with her train laid out perfectly when the groom walks in.  These photographs are followed by a few minutes of quiet time in the sanctuary for just the bride and groom.
